Project and Program Managers execute the mission of the Professional Services team, which is to drive project success and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, influence product adoption, and balance delivery responsibilities with commercial goals of the professional services organization.

The impact you will have:

  • Project Managers are responsible for the successful completion and delivery of the assigned projects. Additionally, they also provide leadership and guidance to the implementation team on how to meet and exceed the goals of the project.
  • Individually delivers on commitments by producing quality deliverables, status reports, project plans, and customer responses on time and requiring minimal rework through inspection and mentoring.
  • Effectively manages the different aspects of a project including scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality, and resources.
  • Consistently generates successful results based on a comprehensive deal preparation and design in the sales process and delivering on Statements of Work to meet customer's business objectives.
  • Reviews and participates in defining project and SOW structures for delivery of high risk, high visibility engagements.
  • Actively participates in regular reviews of high risk and key engagements with the project team and Databricks stakeholders.
  • Effectively builds and leverages customer relationships throughout the sales and delivery process.
  • Ensures our projects are driving high customer satisfaction in both internal and external customers.
  • Builds long-term relationships with clients that can be leveraged beyond specific engagements.
  • Acts as the first point of escalation for customers when they have questions or concerns with our delivery. Additionally, provides escalation as needed into other parts of Databricks to ensure rapid resolution of technical and business issues.
  • Consistently articulates a thorough understanding of Databricks' vision and solutions to help sell and deliver successful implementations, ensure positive project outcomes, and attain project references.
  • Candidates should be open to 50% travel to customer sites.

What we look for:

  • 5+ years working in a Professional Services Organization at an Enterprise Software Company (preferably SaaS company).
  • Proven leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with PS Operations will be a requirement as well as having a strong ability to drive delivery management.
  • Experience with BI, Data Management, and Big Data technologies is a big plus.
  • Excellent communication and have strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven written communication and documentation skills, along with strong project management experience and negotiation skills.
  • Strong abilities to multitask, manage multiple engagements, while delivering extremely high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Experience working with PSA tools is a huge plus.
  • Comfortable with traveling to multiple customer locations.
  • Fluent-proficiency both written and verbal in English is required
