We're building a team of passionate Technical Program Managers to create and guide Release management processes across our Engineering organization.

  • You will implement and improve release processes for code through development, test, and production environments
  • You will work with our engineering and product team members to ensure Databricks solutions are engineered for reliability, scalability, and security - all while keeping operations top of mind.
  • You'll guide the direction of cross-cloud programs, set engineering goals and launch programs at scale
  • You'll be front and center of organizing controls, governance and standards across our infrastructure to achieve product stability and at least four nines of uptime.
  • You'll be reporting to a Technical Program Leader while working across multiple time-zones, seeing around corners to identify blockers, and ensuring needs are balanced against technical requirements.

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of technical program/project/relationship management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (EE, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering)
  • Experience leading different teams to complete projects with multiple dependencies and constraints
  • Experience defining releases, identifying risks, managing cost, coordinating scope, identifying dependencies, scheduling and deploying new products and features
  • Experience creating and cascading processes through an organization
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experience using Jira
  • Master's or advanced technical degree
  • Knowledge of product development process (PDP) and lifecycle
  • Experience with large-scale software and cloud native infrastructure
  • Previous hardware or software development experience is welcome

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
