About the team:

As the Brand Marketing Manager, you’ll lead a growing team tasked with bringing our global brand strategies to life in a way that reinforces our brand and values. You’ll be an integral part of the marketing team reporting directly to our Marketing Lead and working closely with across the marketing team to drive awareness, adoption, and affinity across our 20+ million monthly active users.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker and storyteller who can tell the Goodnotes story to audiences across the world with both global and tailored regional impact; as well as translate our go-to-market initiatives into actionable marketing plans across brand campaigns and PR.

About the role:

This is the role for you, if you’re excited to work on the things listed below:

  • Brand & PR
    • Guide the team to develop, implement and manage Goodnotes’ brand presence globally and in key markets, to build brand awareness and engagement, across channels of social media, influencer marketing, community engagement, PR, etc.
    • Manage our creative studio and work closely with our product marketing team to develop compelling marketing materials, including video, social media content, artwork, and promotional assets that align with our brand identity
    • Tell the Goodnotes story to audiences across the world and be responsible for our overall brand image and brand communication
    • Formulate our brand positioning, strategies, and activities to establish and promote our brand image and value
    • Shape and manage Goodnotes’ overall brand content strategy from thought leadership pieces to high-profile conference appearances to social media
    • Shape and define Goodnotes’ PR strategy to elevate Goodnotes’ visibility in markets globally, with a focus on US and UK tech and tier-one media
    • Identify, engage, and manage global and local PR agencies as needed
  • Marketing Campaigns
    • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns to promote feature releases, seasonal content, expansions, and events across various platforms (PR, social media, content, offline events, etc.) and tailor messaging and campaigns for our key markets
    • Plan the annual brand budget allocation and investment

The skills you will need to be successful in the above:

  • Proven experience in brand marketing, product marketing, or social media marketing in B2C technology or productivity space with a preference for startups
  • Significant exposure to managing multi-channel marketing campaigns (PR, social media, content, community, regional marketing)
  • Strong understanding of managing marketing campaigns measured by return on investment metrics to build brand awareness and user engagement both globally and regionally
  • Creative thinker with hands-on experience creating strategy and brand positioning

The interview process:

  • An introductory call with someone from our talent acquisition team. They want to hear more about your background, what you are looking for, and why you’d like to join GoodNotes
  • A role-specific call with someone from our marketing team to discuss more in depth your brand marketing skills
  • A take-home assignment to assess your skillset
  • A call with your hiring manager. This is the person who will be managing you day to day, working on your growth and development with you as well as support you throughout your career at GoodNotes
  • A call with our VP of Operations and Academic affairs, who will be one of your senior stakeholders
  • A values interview with two of our Product Managers, to answer questions relating to Build Great Things and Take Ownership
