What you’ll do

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of 7 product designers, 1 UX researcher, and 1 DesignOps
  • Partner with management, engineers, and product managers to align on design initiatives, define a rolling roadmap and long-term direction
  • Work with designers across teams to define problems, support research, prototyping, and delivery
  • Help foster our design culture with knowledge-sharing, peer support, leading weekly Design Review, and during informal hang-outs (we meet weekly for a “Designer Aligner”)
  • Run the function’s performance reviews and salary reviews

Preferred requirements

  • Experience managing a remote team in a scale-up environment with millions of users
  • Driven to help companies elevate design maturity
  • A great storyteller comfortable explaining rationale and getting buy-in from stakeholders on product vision
  • Designed public-facing apps that have gotten love letters from users
  • A strong understanding and experience in product design from exploration to launch and beyond

The interview process:

  • A role-specific call to discuss your background and skillset for this role more in detail
  • A call with your hiring manager. This is the person who will be managing you day to day, working on your growth and development with you as well as support you throughout your career at Goodnotes
